The Irmo Police Department currently has 26 sworn and other civilian personnel working for the Town of Irmo. Administrative staff, Investigators, Patrol Officers, Code Enforcement, Victim’s Advocates, and Reserve Officers all support the mission of the Irmo Police Department. The Town is unique in design and is located within both Lexington and Richland Counties. Professional Standards

The Office of Professional Standard’s (OPS) purpose is to ensure that the honor and integrity of the Irmo Police Department is maintained. The OPS is responsible for the internal affairs function of the department and for investigating all complaints or allegations of misconduct against the members of the Irmo Police Department.
